Aside from all the shows planned already,
We, at Tumbleweed Promotions will be putting on many of our own throughout the year !!!
One event that you won't want to miss this Summer is the
"1st Annual Country andBluegrass Festival". It will be held on June 9th at Pioneer Park and Humboldt Museum.
The Festival has set up for six bands and Headliner Lacy J. Dalton for a wonderful day of Music, dancing, Craft Displays, Great Foods, and a "Quick Draw Showdown"....Kind of a play on words...I guess...12 Artists get 1 hour to create a masterpiece, either in Oil, Water Color, Charcoal, Pen or Pencil, or Mudd. This display of "Artists at work", will be held at 9am - 10 am. At the end of the hour, they have to step away, and let their artwork be displayed for a few hours to be voted on, over the days event.....At 5 pm, they will be auctioned off and the Proceeds will be donated to a variety of Charitable causes....So be sure and come out and buy something special for a local Charity....
Another kind of fun addition to the Festival is the chance to see MARK TWAIN...impersonated by very well known, McAvoy Layne.. He is going to act as our MC for the event and do readings at the museum throughout the day..Should be a great thing to see and be sure and bring the kids...this is a part of Americana they could learn from. Might even bring back a few Childhood memories of your own !!!
The Festival begins at 8am and ends at 10 pm on Saturday, June 9th.
